Check-In Rental Instructions
- Checking-In: Check in time is 4pm. Earlier times may be available upon request and if available.
- Property Manager (PM): Prior to check in, our PM will have done a thorough inspection of the home to be sure everything is in proper working order and organized. If you find something out of place or not working, you have 24 hours to take a photo and email it or text it so that you are not charged for the item
- Parking: Parking is limited to 4 standard vehicles (non-oversized).
- DO NOT BLOCK OUR NEIGHBOR’S DRIVE. Doing so will result in your car being towed
- One vehicle in the garage, one vehicle in front of the garage and two vehicles to the left of the driveway
- See parking map attached for proper instructions
- If there are more than 4 vehicles or any oversized vehicle, you must find an off-site location to store the vehicle
- Heating & Cooling: Thermostats should not be set higher than:
- Winter: 70 degrees. Higher settings do not make the house warmer faster. The house gets warm very easily and stays warm. If it is cold when you arrive, simply turn the lower-level thermostats to 70 and open the blinds and curtain on the main level, to allow for sun. At night, be sure to shut the blinds and curtain to retain the heat.
- Summer: 60 degrees or cooler.
- There are 5 thermostats: Dining Room, 2 in the Lower-Level Bedrooms, 2 in the Upper-Level Bedrooms
- Roku Television Instructions: All of the TVs are Roku TVs. You will need to use your own sign in for Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The family room, King Master bedroom and the last lower-level bedroom in the back left (south side) have cable TV boxes as well. Use the small black Roku remote to turn on the TV, to adjust the volume and to select "Cable TV" or "Cable Box" or "HDMI" on the Roku menu. Press ok and that will get you to the cable TV. Once you are watching cable, use the Xfinity remote for changing the channel, volume, guide, etc.
- JBL Bluetooth Speaker: Please handle with care and leave in the welcome basket upon departure.
- Countertops: NOTHING HOT OR THAT CAN STAIN IS TO BE PLACED ON THE COUNTERTOPS.
- Use trivets (hot plates) in the kitchen for anything hot or cold. They are in the drawer.
- This also applies to the Master Bath on the second level
- Hot tub: The hot tub should be set no higher than 100 degrees
- The passcode is X-X-X-X and needs to be lined up with the DOTTED LINES (not in the middle) on the keypad
- Remove all snow & ice using a broom, not a shovel
- Remove the cover with two persons or it will break
- Cover the hot tub, shut off the jets and lights during each use
- The hot tub is serviced once a week, typically on Tuesdays
- There are times when the pool MUST be “dumped”, cleaned and new chemicals added. Typically this is a 24 hour process before it is up to temperature again. We try to do this during an “off-week”, but there is a chance it must be done during your visit because it is all about safety levels.
- Trash: Trash is picked up on Wednesdays. The provider has access to the garage to remove bins.
- Green bins are for trash and collected every week
- Blue bins are for recycling and collected every other week
- If trash was not collected, please call so we may schedule an immediate pick-up
- Fireplace: Wood is available at local stores around town
- IMPORTANT: The flu shall be open before and during a fire. It shall be closed only after a fire has been extinguished for more than 4 hours.
- A fire extinguisher is located next to the fireplace and one is in the kitchen closet
- All fires shall be extinguished within 12 hours of departure and when no one is home
- Animals: Pets are NEVER to be left alone or on the furniture at any time.
- Pet hair will result in a charge.
